SELF Workout In The Park - Grant Park - Chicago, IL June 2012


Thank you for stopping by!  I am new to the blogging world but wanted to have a place where I could share my adventure learning about fitness, health, nutrition, and life.  My life consists of many different avenues that keep me so busy sometimes I'm not sure how I even manage to get sleep!  I work full time, have a 10 year old daughter (Juliana), a musician husband Steve (check out his band here), I am constantly training for some sort of race, and go to school full time.  

I originally wanted to start this blog so that I could journal my training for races that I sign up for but then quickly realized that there is so much more I want to write about.  I am not only addicted to running but all other aspects of fitness and I wanted to have a place I could write about DVDs, classes, gyms, or programs that I've tried.  Reading is also one of my favorite things to do.  When I am not reading a text book for class you can usually find me reading some sort of fiction novel along with a book about nutrition.  I am constantly trying to learn more.  

Something that I am sure you will see me post a lot about is my journey with Tone It Up.  I started my Tone It Up way of life about a year ago and while I am still not 100% perfect with my food and exercise habits, I am getting there.  It's definitely a way of life and I have met so many amazing girls who want to live a healthy life as well through this community.  If you haven't gone to their website yet, go check them out!  What are you waiting for?  I promise you that you wont regret it!
